All Questions
Who is Cohen in Cohen 1939?
Elisa Cohen, the main character. She is the widow of Richard Cohen, head of the Birmingham gang the Raven's Claw, whose murder starts the story.
How long is Cohen 1939?
About 4 to 6 hours for a first clear. A full commentary playthrough on YouTube runs 4 hours 33 minutes; S ranks and hidden achievements add a lot more.
Is Richard's death at the start scripted?
Yes. Richard's last stand in the first level ends in a scripted death; the enemies keep coming until the story moves on to his funeral. You cannot survive it, so there is no need to retry.

No. Cohen 1939 is on Windows PC through Steam only, and no PlayStation, Xbox or Switch version has been announced.
Does Cohen 1939 have controller support?
Partly. Steam lists Partial Controller Support and an Xbox pad works in the full game, but some tutorial prompts only show keyboard and mouse keys.
Can you play Cohen 1939 on Steam Deck?
Yes, according to launch-week reviewers who played on a Deck and report it runs smoothly. Valve has not given it a rating yet.
Does Cohen 1939 have Steam Cloud saves?

No. It is single-player, with online leaderboards for level scores.

Yes, by design: one-hit kills both ways, top-down rooms and instant restarts. It adds throwing as a stun, four characters with skills, a badge unlock system and boss fights with gimmicks.
Is Cohen 1939 available in Korean?
Not officially. The game ships with English audio and English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian text. A Korean menu option exists but is empty; a fan-made Korean patch on GitHub fills it with machine translation.
Why do the characters have American accents?
The English voice acting does not use British accents, which players have pointed out on the Steam forum. English is the only fully voiced language.
Why are there so many Chinese reviews?
41 of the first 50 Steam reviews are in Simplified Chinese. Their main complaints are the boss design, forced stealth, bugs and price; their praise goes to the art and the fast combat.
