What kind of game is Cohen 1939?
Cohen 1939 is a top-down shooter from Cube of Cube, published by 2P Games and released on Steam on September 29, 2026. You play Elisa Cohen, widow of the Raven gang's leader Richard, hunting his killers through 1930s Birmingham. Everyone dies in one hit, you included; empty guns are thrown, not reloaded, and the chapters build to boss fights that each have their own trick. Start with the beginner tips, check the boss guide when a fight stops you cold, and the fixes page if a door simply will not open.

Every character has one active skill on Shift, with a small number of charges shown next to its icon. In the story each chapter hands you a set character; challenge runs let you pick.
Rage
Richard Cohen
Elisa's husband and leader of the Raven gang, playable before the story moves on without him.
Taking a hit sends him into a rage instead of ending the run outright, and fast kills keep it going.
Focus
The bodyguard
Elisa's personal guard, in a newsboy cap and double-breasted trench coat.
Slows everything around her, much like bullet time. Best saved for being rushed or surrounded.
Slide
The slide gunman
Flat-cap gangster built around movement.
Slides into a room while shooting. Kills made during a slide cut the slide's cooldown, so chained slides are the whole idea.
